We buried my father and my brother beside my mother at Osborne Cemetery on April 14, 2015. My whole family is buried there, and 11 years ago they did a wonderful job at my mother's graveside funeral. However, these many years later, they completely failed with my father and my brother's graves. One member of the couple next to my parent's were buried in my Dad's space. The Cemetery had to dig up the two vaults to the right of my parents. The vault company set up a "faux" burial site for my Dad and brother next to the road and a few 100 feet from the actual graves. The tent for the burial was on a hill in mud which the astro turf did not cover. A long stretch of plywood covered the ground down to the grave site. Dirt was piled in a huge heap on top of the couple next to my parents, and my Dad and brother's enormous grave opening looked like a bomb crater. My mother's headstone was so full of mud you could not read it. My sister had called Osborne Cemetery on March 26, 2015 (when my brother died) to give them a heads up that my 94 year old Dad was in hospice and we would soon need to bury them. Then on April 8 (my Dad's death date) they were called again to inform them that the grave would need to be opened. According to the funeral home, no exploration of the grave site started until Friday April 10, 2015. Clearly the cemetery ran out of time to do a proper job once the error of burying the wrong people in my Dad's plot was found. No one mourning the passing of two family members that died within 2 weeks of each other should be subjected to the MESS that the cemetery was. It was very painful to see such disrespect for my parents and brother. For the misery of this we are suppose to pay $85 for my brother's grave opening and $260 for my fathers. It takes a lot of nerve to charge for something so mishandled!
